New Talent Micro Movies - Call for Entries

New Talent Micro Movies is a fantastic opportunity for emerging filmmakers in the region to get their first professional commission. Run by Northern Film & Media in partnership with Shudderfilms, the scheme will see 5 one minute short films made - each with a budget of £1,000 - and is open to anyone who has not previously been commissioned to make a film.

The scheme is open to drama, documentary and animation ideas. A producer will work across the scheme, so you can apply without a producer attached to your project. However, if you wish to produce your own work you can do so, with the support from a producer in a mentoring role.

Once the films are completed, they will be up for the public vote through our North East Movies website. The winning film will receive a voucher for kit hire donated by Picture Canning North.
