New Directions is a one day conference for anyone searching for inspiration on how to engage young people in media.
Run by Northern Film & Media, this year’s New Directions welcomes guest speakers from Channel 4, First Light, Novak and the Entrepreneurs’ Forum. A full programme is attached below.
Speakers, panel discussions and workshops will showcase and discuss innovative and engaging media projects which young people will enjoy and learn from. The day also offers the opportunity to network, share experiences and ask the questions you need to find the answers to.
To keep the creative juices flowing there will be a live demo of Friispray infra-red graffiti and screenings of short films presented by the Tyneside Cinema’s Pickin’ Flicks young programming team.
When: Thursday 29 October 2009. Registration will be from 9.30am; the event itself will start at 10.00am promptly and will finish at 4.00pm.

New Directions is free but places are limited. If you would like to attend please email us requesting a place not later than Friday 23 October. Lunch will be provided; please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
