Inspirational Women in Media & Creative Businesses Event

Join in a pan-northern first! Using Northern Net's Media Access Bureaus, three northern agencies – Northern Film & Media, Screen Yorkshire and Northwest Vision and Media – have joined forces to bring you a first-of-its-kind, three-way event taking place on Thursday 18 February simultaneously in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Leeds and Salford.
Hear leading industry professionals in the three locations share
insightful and motivational accounts of their experiences in the
business and put your questions to them in person and by video
link.
If you are enthusiastic about being a part of the fast growing creative
and digital media industry in the North then don't miss this unique
opportunity to take part in an unprecedented pan-northern event with
some of the most inspirational women in the industry.
Speakers include:
- Eileen Gallagher, Chief Executive, Shed Productions - speaking in Newcastle
- Dianne Nelmes, Managing Director, Liberty Bell- speaking in Newcastle
- Lou Cordwell, Managing Director, Magnetic North - speaking in Salford
- Kaye Elling, Chair of Women in Games Conference 2010 & Lecturer in Computer Games, University of Bradford - speaking in Leeds

When: Thursday 18 February, 1.45-4.30pm
To request an invitation please email events@northernmedia.org. Places
for this event are strictly limited and will be allocated on a
first-come-first served basis.
The host facilitators will be: Emma Cheshire Head of
Industry Development at Screen Yorkshire (Leeds); Lynne McCadden,
Director, North West Vision and Media (Salford); and Helen Spencer,
Creative Media Director of Mere Mortals (Newcastle-Upon-Tyne). The
other participating venues are Broadway 100 in Salford and The Round
Foundry Media Centre in Leeds.
