Finance for Business - North East Creative Content Fund
Northern Film & Media has partnered up with NorthStar Equity Investors to manage a new £2.4m creative co-investment content fund.
Delivered by ERDF funding, administered by regional development agency One NorthEast, the fund aims to bolster the region’s TV, film, interactive media, music and games industries over the next two years. The Fund is open to both companies indigenous to the North East and those wishing to base production or create a significant presence in the region.
Investment Size: £50,000 - £250,000
Target: Small-Medium Sized Companies
Sector: Film, TV, Games, Interactive Media, Music
The fund will primarily make equity investments and will seek to maximise co-investment with sector-specific co-investors. But non-equity investments will also be considered where appropriate.
We're looking for original, commercial propositions with real market potential, as well a talented and strong management team. All investment decisions are taken on a commercial basis. A key criterion for any successful applicant will be a clear commercial direction for their business, and a strategy for adding value through creative content. For the fund there needs to be a realistic view of where a return can be made on the investment.
