Northern Film & Media is the screen agency for North East of England. One of nine English screen agencies, we exist to introduce the talent to the market and to introduce the market to the talent.
Northern Film & Media develops the creative economy by investing in people and their ideas. Formed in October 2002, our activities support the growth of commercial creative industries across Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Teesside.
We focus our energies and expertise on driving commercial innovation in film, television, games, animation, music, digital media and events.
Northern Film & Media is able to develop your ideas or business in a number of ways.
We directly invest capital in commercially viable projects from a number of funds, including the groundbreaking £2.4m Finance for Business - North East Creative Content Fund with our venture capital partners North Star Equity Investors. Our staff will use their industry knowledge, expertise and contacts to take our partners' products to the market. NFM's participatory team is able to offer comprehensive advice in helping you to realise high impact community projects whilst our events offer tailored, invaluable content across the entire value chain of media.
The funding, support and market access we offer enables clients to fulfil their commercial potential and contributes to the development of the North East creative economy.
Northern Film & Media’s new office space at Hoults Yard provides the perfect environment to build on the support we currently offer companies and individuals from within and outside the North East.
Latest technology and innovative spaces allow us to efficiently invest funds and run world class events. Our facilities at Hoults Yard are available to our clients and partners, including NorthernNet - the high speed network connecting the region’s creative and digital industry sector.
