Creative Times Presents: 'The Beauty Of Digital: New Technologies, Old Aesthetics And Where The Two Meet’
There’s no either/or anymore - digital is part of our creative lives, creating new possibilities and opportunities. But does that mean pre-digital knowledge, expertise and aesthetics are redundant, or is something much more interesting happening as old and new come together in the mix?
Creative Times Presents: 'The Beauty Of Digital'This free event will see a panel of digital creatives share their experiences of the interplay between old and new, followed by an audience Q&A.
The event will be introduced by Chris Sharratt, Editor of Creative Times, and promises to be a lively and thought-provoking celebration of the creative possibilities of new technologies with guest speakers:
- Herb Kim, CEO Codeworks and Director, Thinking Digital conference
- Sarah Cook, co-founder and co-editor of CRUMB, the online resource for curators of new media art
- Will Schrimshaw, artist and researcher with an interest in sonic interaction and sound design
- Lalya Gaye and Joelle Bitton, artists and research fellows at Culture Lab
