We will consider investments in companies, projects, ideas and individuals engaged in digital industries including music, games animation and innovative transmedia propositions. We welcome applications at every stage of the process, from production and development through to delivery. We prioritise projects with clear, commercial aims and IP exploitation potential. It's a limited fund which will provide relatively modest investments to increase the commerciality of propositions and render them more attractive for further and more significant investment.
The North East Familiarisation Fund
The North East Familiarisation Fund is designed to encourage film and TV production companies from outside the North East to consider the region.
We will bring up to four members of your key personnel to the North East for up to two nights to show you that the North East can fulfil your requirements.
Northern Film & Media will cover the cost of UK travel to the North East. We may be able to accompany your key personnel on a recce of the North East or we will provide a professional local location manager for up to 2 days. We will provide accommodation and transport.
