Ex-Northern Upstart producer reflects on new CNBC series
CNBC has confirmed that James Caan will host a new series on entrepreneurialism - show which has a link to the North East.
Charly Conquest, formerly a development producer at Newcastle-based indie Northern Upstart is associate producer on Business Class – a seven-part series, designed to help small and medium sized businesses grow and prosper.
Caan is joined by experts from a cross section of industries, looking at the challenges and opportunities faced by six UK businesses. The featured businesses are at different stages in their lifecycle, from start-up to those looking to raise finance, expand internationally and considering flotation or selling their business.
“This series is a fusion of entertainment and genuine business insight. We’ll be exploring the challenges faced by entrepreneurs across the UK and helping them to succeed with the help of expert panellists including Jo Malone, Lord Digby Jones and Thea Green of Nails Inc, not to mention our anchor – James Caan,” said Conquest.
“I’m especially excited to be a part of The Business Class as I got my break in the media setting up a small business on behalf of a North East-based company, and as such, I’m completely in awe of what some of our entrepreneurs in our series have already achieved.”
The Business Class debuts on 17 October at 10.00pm and will repeat at the weekend at 9.30pm (UK time). CNBC can be seen on Sky channel 505, Virgin 613 and Freesat 210.
