Terry Stevens from Dogwoof (Restrepo, Burma VJ, The Age of Stupid) will deliver a two-part workshop on film distribution and marketing exploring innovative social media and outreach campaigns. The first part of the workshop will consist of case studies – drama and doc – followed by Q & A. The second section will be a live project lab to using North East doc and drama projects to explore new ways to reach audiences.
Founded in 2004, Dogwoof has released award-winning independent films from around the world. Working with the motto “good with film”, their main focus is on documentaries that, in some way, inspire creativity, thought and change. International sales consultants as well as distributors, they work intimately with filmmakers every step of the way through the release process across various platforms. Dogwoof acquires all rights for exploitation across all platforms, with a special focus on backing its theatrical releases with award-winning major press, marketing, social media and outreach campaigns.
