Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund advice and networking
Through Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund, Ideas Tap are offering five young UK-based artists £30,000 each to fund their creative work for a whole year. The Fund is open to applicants aged 18-30, working in performing arts, dance, music, visual art or creative producing.
In order to guide those thinking of applying Ideas Tap are running a seminar at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, offering advice and a chance to ask put questions to Futures Fund judges and creative industry experts to find out first-hand what the judges are looking for. The seminar will be followed by networking. Godfrey Worsdale, Director of BALTIC, and Sky Arts Manager Freya Murray will be key speakers.
The session will also provide advice on building a creative career, help with the Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund application process and a chance to meet other like-minded creatives. Delegates will also have the opportunity to put questions to the Futures Fund ambassadors, who are successful artists in their own right.
