US distribution pioneer to address NFM event
Fresh from a keynote at Sundance, US-based film strategist Peter Broderick will be sharing his latest ideas about creative content distribution and audience engagement at a Northern Film & Media event in Newcastle on Tues 21 February.
Delivered as part of a brief visit to the UK, Broderick’s presentation and workshop is designed to enable filmmakers, TV producers, publishers, musicians and digital creatives to take advantage of the very latest finance, distribution and marketing opportunities afforded by the web.
Broderick’s presentation will provide attendees with the inside-track on the most innovative fundraising, distribution, social media marketing, audience development and revenue generation techniques.
Broderick will also deliver a Hybrid Distribution workshop which will see him work with the group to develop strategies for attendees’ projects. The workshop will focus on how filmmakers and other content creators are splitting up rights among multiple distribution partners, while retaining the right to make direct sales from their websites. It will also examine the evolution of the US market, charting the fall of traditional business models and emergence of new commercial strategies.
“I’m looking forward to discussing pioneering projects and latest digital distribution opportunities at this exciting event,” said Broderick.
