Film4ward Feature Film Development Opportunity
Film 4 make distinctive and smart films with both new and established talent from Chris Morris and Danny Boyle to Steve McQueen and Shane Meadows. They are looking for bold, fresh new writers and writer-directors from the North East with authentic voices who can challenge audiences.
Working in partnership with Film 4, Northern Film & Media are looking for the most distinctive writers and writer-directors in the North East to support the development of a feature film package for Film 4.
Supported by the Skillset Film Skills Fund and the European Regional Development Fund, Film4ward will select up to four projects for an intensive 3 month development programme working with leading industry mentors Ivana MacKinnon and Kate Leys. Filmmakers will develop a strong treatment, outline and visual materials as part of a comprehensive feature package, then have the opportunity to meet with Film 4 to present their feature projects.
How to Apply
Film4ward is open to established writers and writer-directors based in the North East region (Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Tees Valley) only. Applicants must be over 18 and not in full-time or undergraduate education. Please read full guidance notes before applying.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend interviews on Thursday 12th April 2012 before a final decision is made. If you are selected for the programme you must be able to commit to the Film4ward schedule detailed in the guidelines.
